Online booking is easy and convenient! It allows you to book, move or cancel an appointment whenever you think about it - whether our clinic is open or not.

However, it does have some limitations and restrictions - so if you can’t find the perfect time for your appointments, please give us a call at 780.577.9823 or email reception@alinio.ca

Our human Alinio Team members can often find answers for you!

Cancellation/No Show Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 4 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 4 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a hands-on therapeutic technique that optimizes health through treatment of the muscles and fascia. It influences the nervous system and aids in flushing the fluid systems. Treatment benefits people of all ages and can enhance your overall emotional and physical well-being.

Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage Therapy

Pairing hot stone massage with therapeutic techniques allows for greater depth of treatment while reducing pain and muscle tightness. Pairing hot stone massage with therapeutic techniques allows for greater depth of treatment while reducing pain and muscle tightness. As the stone manually works through the muscle tissue, the heat increases blood circulation, reduces the sensation of pain and softens the muscle tissue, making it more malleable. This extends the duration of the beneficial effects of the treatment while reducing the soreness that can result from a deeper treatment. Therapeutic hot stone massage is beneficial for injury rehabilitation, chronic muscle tightness, chronic muscle pain, adhered connective tissues and relaxation in general.

Fire Cupping

Fire-cupping is a therapy which uses glass jars suctioned onto the skin's surface. The negative pressure (vacuum) is created by lighting an alcohol swab on fire, moving it in and out of the cup before placing the cup on the skin. The negative pressure (vacuum) is created by lighting an alcohol swab on fire, moving it in and out of the cup before placing the cup on the skin. The suction creates a perpendicular stretch on the tissues, separating the layers and drawing in blood to the area.

The primary goal of cupping is to activate the body's immune system to promote healing, reduce pain (acute & chronic) and inflammation. It stimulates the lymphatic system, increases circulation and loosens adhesions. The effect of cupping on muscle and connective tissue is similar to a deep-tissue massage. The strength of the suction determines which tissues are being treated, superficial to deep.

I graduated from the Massage Therapy program at MacEwan University in 2018. My treatments primarily lean towards pain reduction and relaxation. The greatest pride in my work comes from hearing how much relief my treatments bring to my patients and seeing their quality of life improve over time. I combine Swedish and deep tissue techniques with stretches and joint mobilizations to reduce muscle tension, work out knots and improve range of motion.

I am trained in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Therapeutic Hot Stone, Joint Mobilizations, Myofascial Release, Pre and Post-Natal. Myofascial Cupping and Acupressure are planned next for my continued education.

I have been working in the beautiful atmosphere of Alinio Chiropractic and Massage clinic since July of 2023. I am a graduate of the 2200-hour program at MH Vicars and, as a Massage Therapist, I make every effort to have my clients leave with a feeling of relief - both physically and psychologically. The sense of healing that massage involves is as rewarding for me as it is for my clients - I love to see them leave with a better sense of well-being and an improved quality of life. My practice includes relaxation and therapeutic techniques such as Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Joint Play and Myofascial Cupping. I shape my practice to fit the specific needs of each individual I am working with.

When I am out of the office you might see me out for a run or catch me in the spin studio. I have two grey cats, one that enjoys coming for walks with me around the city, adventuring in her bubble backpack. The other likes to stay home for snacks and snuggles. I also enjoy soaking up the mountain air while hiking or skiing.

I cannot wait to work with you and assist you on your wellness journey!

I came to chiropractic as a second career after being an actor, writer, and teacher, and in 2007 I graduated Magna Cum Laude and class valedictorian from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

I enjoy a varied practice and love working with patients from all walks of life and all activity levels. Thanks to my theatre background, I maintain a strong connection with the local arts community, and am always open to the various challenges that a performing artist brings to the clinic. As a recreational athlete with 5 full marathons under my belt and many years of weight training and yoga practice, I am excited to cheer my patients on to their next activity goal - whether it’s a first-time walk around the block or a 5th Ironman!

I experienced first-hand the importance of chiropractic care throughout pregnancy and the post-natal period, and I am always honoured to be a part of the team for pregnant patients, new parents, and children of all ages.

Due to my teaching background, one of my passions is ensuring that every patient fully understands how and why chiropractic can help. I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, answering your questions and helping you reach optimal health so that you can fully enjoy your life and family.
