Online booking is easy and convenient! It allows you to book, move or cancel an appointment whenever you think about it - whether our clinic is open or not.

However, it does have some limitations and restrictions - so if you can’t find the perfect time for your appointments, please give us a call at 780.577.9823 or email reception@alinio.ca

Our human Alinio Team members can often find answers for you!

Cancellation/No Show Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 4 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 4 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a hands-on therapeutic technique that optimizes health through treatment of the muscles and fascia. It influences the nervous system and aids in flushing the fluid systems. Treatment benefits people of all ages and can enhance your overall emotional and physical well-being.

Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage Therapy

Pairing hot stone massage with therapeutic techniques allows for greater depth of treatment while reducing pain and muscle tightness. Pairing hot stone massage with therapeutic techniques allows for greater depth of treatment while reducing pain and muscle tightness. As the stone manually works through the muscle tissue, the heat increases blood circulation, reduces the sensation of pain and softens the muscle tissue, making it more malleable. This extends the duration of the beneficial effects of the treatment while reducing the soreness that can result from a deeper treatment. Therapeutic hot stone massage is beneficial for injury rehabilitation, chronic muscle tightness, chronic muscle pain, adhered connective tissues and relaxation in general.

Cupping Massage is a therapy in which cups are used through suction to lift and decompress tissue, promoting blood flow and stimulation to the lymphatic. This stimulation not only works to deliver a deep tissue massage, but it also helps with blood flow, inflammation, and pain. Cupping is excellent at increasing joint mobility, waking up the lymphatic system, thus helping to drain excess fluids and toxins, stimulating the nervous system, pulling fresh blood flow to stagnant muscles, and even loosens adhesions in muscle and myofascial tissue.

I graduated from the Massage Therapy program at MacEwan University in 2018. My treatments primarily lean towards pain reduction and relaxation. My greatest pride in my work comes from hearing how much relief my treatments bring to my patients and seeing their quality of life improve over time. I combine Swedish and deep tissue techniques with stretches and joint mobilizations to reduce muscle tension, work out knots and improve range of motion.

I am trained in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Joint Mobilizations, Myofascial Release, Pre and Post-Natal. Myofascial Cupping and Hot Stone are what I have planned for next in my continued education. While not at work I draw, read books, play volleyball, listen to music and spend time with my family.

I am excited to begin working in the beautiful atmosphere and energy here at Alinio Chiropractic & Massage! I am a graduate of the 2200-hour program at MH Vicars and, as a Massage Therapist, I make every effort to have my clients leave with a feeling of relief - both physically and psychologically. The sense of healing that massage involves is as rewarding for me as it is for my clients - I love to see them leave with a better sense of well-being and an improved quality of life. My practice includes relaxation massage as well as therapeutic techniques and I shape my practice to fit the specific needs of each individual I am working with.

When I am out of the office you might see me out for a run or catch me in the spin studio. I have two grey cats, one that enjoys coming for walks with me around the city, adventuring in her bubble backpack. The other likes to stay home for snacks and snuggles. I also enjoy soaking up the mountain air while hiking or skiing.

I look forward to enhancing my practice in the years to come with additional modalities, including cupping and hot stone massage. I cannot wait to work with you and assist you on your wellness journey.

I came to chiropractic as a second career after being an actor, writer and teacher. I switched careers after chiropractic treatment helped me recover from a running injury and in 2007 I graduated Magna Cum Laude and class valedictorian from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

I enjoy a varied practice and love working with patients from all walks of life and all activity levels.

In my spare time I am a runner, with five full marathons under my belt. I regularly practice yoga and, as a downtown resident, I enjoy walking and biking through our beautiful river valley.

I maintain a strong connection with the local arts community and treat performers from all disciplines as I have a personal understanding of the specific physical demands placed upon actors, dancers, singers and musicians. As a mother I also know first-hand the importance of chiropractic care throughout conception, pregnancy and the post-natal period for women and babies. I especially love working with moms-to-be, new parents and children of all ages. I am an advocate of natural childbirth and see chiropractic as having an important role in assisting the body to embrace this natural process. As a former teacher, one of my passions is ensuring that every patient fully understands how and why chiropractic can help. I am very committed to the education of my patients with respect to all areas of their health and wellness. I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, answering your questions and helping you reach optimal health so that you can fully enjoy your life and family.
